Website and customer scope
This notice covers the public asklib.ai website and inquiries to AskLib. Theme and language preferences are stored in this browser. The marketing site links to the separate AskLib application. That application, patron content, library knowledge sources and authenticated accounts need their own deployment and customer-agreement review.
Information, purposes and providers
The contact form collects your name, email, organization and message. Cloudflare Pages delivers this public site; a Pages Function validates inquiries with Turnstile and stores them in Cloudflare D1. The contact handler sets a 365-day retention date and short-lived, keyed rate-limit records. An expiry field alone is not evidence that deletion has completed. Google Fonts delivers the website typefaces and receives the network information needed for those requests, including IP address and browser request headers. Hosting and security services also process technical requests to deliver pages, investigate failures and prevent abuse. Inquiry content is used to understand and respond to your request; only provide information needed for that purpose.
Optional analytics and browser storage
Google Analytics measures public website visits and interactions through our first-party metrics endpoint after consent. Microsoft Clarity can also be configured; the preferences panel identifies enabled providers. When configured, Microsoft Clarity provides behavioral analytics, heatmaps and session replay; advertising storage remains denied. Google measurement, where enabled, receives page and interaction information after consent. Optional analytics stays unloaded until a valid explicit grant. A versioned, timestamped analytics grant expires after 180 days; malformed, unsupported or future-dated grants do not enable tracking. Existing denials remain effective. Essential only and Allow analytics are equally available, and a failed save keeps analytics off with a message. Cookie preferences and the direct opt-out on Privacy choices remain available. Withdrawal clears accessible analytics cookies and reloads if a tracker has started. Essential preferences remain. Global Privacy Control overrides any analytics permission and prevents a new grant while the signal is active. Choices apply to this browser and site, not automatically to customer accounts, other devices or backend records.
Retention and deletion
Inquiry and support retention depends on the purpose, relevant agreement, legal requirements and provider systems. A single portfolio-wide retention deadline is not established. Ask the contact below about the applicable record, retention review and eligible deletion; backups and provider retention may differ from active records.
Privacy requests
Contact [email protected] with enough context to locate your inquiry or record. You may request access, correction, deletion or communications changes. We may ask for reasonable identity or authority evidence before disclosing or changing personal or organization information. Do not send passwords, access tokens or government identity documents in the initial request. A request review identifies the records, checks any retention requirements and the responsible customer, and determines eligible deletion and any information that must remain. Ask for an explanation of required retention. Customer-controlled records should be directed to the organization that determines their use; we can help route the request.
Hosting and international processing
Cloudflare delivers the public website through a distributed network. This does not establish a single storage or processing country. Customer-product hosting regions, backups, supplier support access and international transfers must be confirmed for the specific engagement. No customer-region AWS commitment is made by this website. Where transfer safeguards such as a provider DPA or standard contractual clauses are relevant, the parties must verify the applicable executed terms and supplier coverage; this page is not that agreement.
AI use and customer content
No AI model training is performed by the public-site inquiry handler. This statement does not establish how every separate product, customer deployment or independent supplier uses information. Ask for the relevant product data-use terms, model providers and training controls before supplying customer content. Library AI drafts and retrieved answers require human review against current source material; generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate and must not decide patron eligibility or replace professional advice.
